Library of Things: FAQ
Library of Things Catalog
Browse the collection and reserve an item with your library card. Items can be reserved at Arcade Library, Fair Oaks Library, or Valley Hi-North Laguna Library. All items at the Walnut Grove Library are first come first serve and don't require a reservation.
How many Things can you reserve at a time?
You can place up to three reservations on different Things at a time, including the Things that you have checked out. Keep the two checkout limit in mind when scheduling additional reservation times.
How to pick up your item
Visit the Arcade, Fair Oaks, or Valley Hi-North Laguna Library during open hours once you receive a notice that your item is available to pick up. To borrow something from the Walnut Grove Library collection, just stop by and see what we have available.
How to return your item
Return your item to the same location during open hours.
Can you renew your item?
Library of Things items can be borrowed for 2 weeks and cannot be renewed.
Artful Reading Kit

Clark County Public Library is excited to offer 21 different Artful Reading Kits. All Kits must be returned with reusable items. This includes books and accessories.

We have a great selection of pans perfect for holidays or other special occasions.

Blood Pressure Cuff Kit

Clark County Public Library is excited to be partnering with the American Heart Association to offer blood pressure monitoring.

Disc Golf

Want something fun to do with the family? Come to the library and check out some discs for Disc Golf. Play at the Clark County Fairgrounds. ​

Playaway

No changing discs, no downloading files, and no internet needed, it’s that easy! Just grab one AAA battery, plug in your headphones, and go. Playaways can also be plugged into speakers or your car using an adaptor cable for more listening options.

Seed Library

The Library begins each year on March 1st. We provide grab bags of a variety of vegetable seeds and flower/herb seeds. Patrons can select either a combo bag that has vegetables, flowers & herbs or an individual bag of just vegetables or just flowers & herbs.

Wi-Fi Hotspots

The Clark County Public Library is making it easier for our community to connect to the internet with free Wi-Fi hotspots - now available for checkout.

$1 per day late fee

Hotspot is deactivated after due date

Perfect for movie nights and parties. Connect the projector to a PC, MAC, iPad/iPhone or DVD player to display movies, or presentations. (Includes a projector, cable and adapters for common playback devices.)
